Josy Bandecchi has learned provencal cooking by herself.
Mediterranean women, with a father from Nice and an armenian mother, she has been developping a local true provencal cooking for 30 years, cooking according to seasons.

She created her restaurant 35 years ago.
An entrepreneur soul : she opened her first shop in the old town of Nice when she was 18 years old..
Great working abilities : She learned the job in her father's brasserie open at night for farmers from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. She was 20 years old.


She created JOSY - JO in 1970 with her husband Jo (retired now) who already had a small restaurant in the village. Ambitious, she wanted to have a bigger and better located business.. Independant, she decided to replace the Chef and she's still the Chef now !

Her dertermination and ambition allowded her to enter the Great Chef's world :
She created the "Olive tree" festival in Cagnes sur Mer, where internationally famous Chef cook and offer a tasting meal.

She joined Joël ROBUCHON T.V show « Bon Appétit Bien Sûr » and had a show on a famous french cooking programm.


Thirst to development drove her to the Town Hall. Working with the mayor she fights for her town.

Olive Festival in Cagnes sur mer, with Chefs Didier Agnès, Jacques Maximin, Jacques Chibois et Jean-Claude Guillon, and with the town mayor.
